The How-To Boot Guide

Boots are a firm fall favourite. Everyone loves them, everyone has them but, let’s face it, not everyone gets the balance right. Heel height and length of silhouette are everything and we’ve picked three of our favourites that we’ve dressed to perfection…

Double Double

The high-heel and over-the-knee cut of the Aquazzura Milano Boot dresses up casually cool looks with just the right amount of polish. They give laid-back plaid an edgy air that we like to complement with a Lack of Color fedora. A N°21 handbag, in a creamy café latte tone, keeps the look soft and feminine, yet still contemporary. We’ll be wearing this for coffee dates.

Silver Medal

A sky-high heel and cool bootie silhouette, like this Alexandre Birman Sommer Bootie, need to be dressed up. We love echoing this metallic vibe with a glittery turtleneck and some sparkling Fallon ear candy. A pop of silky fuchsia layers in colour and even more texture. Wear this when ordering Champagne!

Red Alert

A low-profile shape and heel can lose their edge when dressed down. That’s why we like to style these stunning Francesco Russos with simple pieces that look anything but basic. Textured skinny jeans, a classic tee and a plush coat – all in black and white – keep the effect upscale and the red flame a focal point. A Fallon necklace and Lack of Color beret channel Parisian flair.
